You need to be currently studying a degree with at least a 60% component of IT. You’re familiar with some programming languages and implementation environments. Most of all, you have a passion for technology and thrive on finding new and better ways to do things.
Throughout my placement, I was treated like a really valuable Kainos employee, not like a student. I have learned new skills and perfected what I already knew. When I go back to university, I can say with confidence that I am going to perform very well. It was the placement year that gave me that confidence to succeed.
The main thing I noticed on my placement was that we weren’t treated as students. Within the team or in social aspects of the company, everyone’s opinion mattered. The support I felt was amazing and I am extremely excited to see where it will take me in the years to come.

Apart from formal training I also get a lot of support from my colleagues here in Belfast and in Gdansk. Within Kainos there are a lot of knowledge sharing sessions, which helps make me a better overall engineer as a result.
